Quality Controller

New to this role? Follow the first-day checklist.

Use the labeled sidebar to find your permitted work areas, grouped by task. On a smaller screen, open the navigation menu in the header to reach the same destinations. The current page stays highlighted; the tenant and branch scope still determine which records and actions you can use. Choose Account in the header for appearance controls and Log out. Daily workshop tasks come first; Management holds reporting and feedback, and Administration holds setup. Only the groups and destinations your role can use are shown.

Quality Controller is an optional tenant role for final inspection before vehicle handover.

After staff sign-in, Quality Controllers open the Quality Control queue for final-inspection work. You see vehicles in your assigned branches. Ask the owning staff member for customer, billing or reporting information.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm the repair order is ready for final inspection.
  • Use the plate and Repair Order number to confirm the vehicle before acting.
  • Approve a vehicle for pickup, require or complete washing, or return work only when the queue offers that action.
  • Send passed jobs to the pickup handoff.
  • Return failed jobs to workshop work and optionally add instructions for the assigned technician.

Quality Controller access is intentionally narrow. If the role is not enabled, the workflow should show the fallback owner instead of exposing broken controls.

Search the Awaiting checks, Returned for rework, and Ready for pickup groups by registration, job number, vehicle or service. Use the page controls to reach all matching jobs. Refresh if another staff member has changed the vehicle’s progress before repeating an action. The queue deliberately keeps Quality Controllers on its plate-anchored decision controls; customer, billing, inventory, and document workspaces remain with their authorized roles.
