Inventory Manager

New to this role? Follow the first-day checklist.

Use the labeled sidebar to find your permitted work areas, grouped by task. On a smaller screen, open the navigation menu in the header to reach the same destinations. The current page stays highlighted; the tenant and branch scope still determine which records and actions you can use. Choose Account in the header for appearance controls and Log out. Daily workshop tasks come first; Management holds reporting and feedback, and Administration holds setup. Only the groups and destinations your role can use are shown.

Inventory Managers control parts and stock movement.

After staff sign-in, Inventory Managers open Inventory. Shell access follows the authorized tenant and branch scope and does not grant the general tenant Dashboard, general Reports, or general report access. Inventory-specific reporting remains governed by its separate permission. The workspace may read the sanitized Inventory readiness state through an Inventory capability; this does not grant tenant settings, provider evidence, or readiness for other modules.

Common tasks

  • Keep part identity, cost, selling price, supplier, and status consistent.
  • Maintain suppliers and receive stock after opening setup.
  • Review stock levels, set reorder alerts, and inspect stock history.
  • Review all pages of jobs waiting for parts in Overview.
  • Record audited adjustments when stock needs correction.
  • Issue parts to repair orders and return unused issued parts.
  • Export reports for operational review.

Inventory uses movement history. Do not silently rewrite stock history when an adjustment or return is the correct auditable action.

If readiness is disabled, a Tenant Admin owns module enablement. If setup is incomplete, an authorized Inventory Manager completes the required branch stock baseline. Do not request tenant settings or general reporting permission as a workaround.
