Driver Onboarding
Role focus
Drivers follow service state for fleet vehicles assigned to them.
What you need
Confirm the service center has assigned you to the correct vehicle. You need the fleet access route and the contact method used for driver login or access.
First login and workspace orientation
Use the labeled sidebar to move between the sections of your Fleet workspace. On a smaller screen, open the header navigation menu for the same choices. Confirm the company and your role before reviewing records; the menu does not change account membership or vehicle assignments.
Open the fleet access route to land on Current work for assigned vehicles. Driver access stays scoped to active assignments. From there, use the registration plate to confirm the vehicle, check current service state, review Service history, and follow the safe next instruction. The workspace does not expose approval, credit, billing, or management controls. Assigned vehicles can be collapsed, and starts collapsed when viewing filtered or paginated history. Idle vehicles show a short No active service status.
First steps
- Confirm the assigned vehicle list is correct.
- Check active service for your vehicle. In history, choose In service for active work or All work to include completed and cancelled visits.
- Read the current service status and Repair Order reference when present.
- Filter history by assigned vehicle, service status, or From/Through calendar dates. The Through date includes the full selected day in the service center’s configured timezone; use Previous and Next for additional pages. Correct highlighted errors without losing entered values, or use Clear filters to return to All work without vehicle, status or date filters.
- Expand Service updates on a history record to read its full timeline. Contact Fleet Admin or the service center when the next instruction asks for help.
- Escalate missing or incorrect vehicle access.
- If no vehicles are actively assigned, expect an empty no-assignment state; do not use a saved vehicle URL as a workaround.
- Use Help for public guidance and Log out before leaving a shared device.
Typical workflow
Drivers use Motornauts to understand service for assigned vehicles. Fleet Admins handle company approvals and review billing and credit. Service center staff manage appointments and assignments.
When to ask for help
Ask the Fleet Admin about company approvals and to coordinate assignment corrections with staff. Ask the Service Advisor about appointments, drop-off, pickup and service-center instructions.
Safe use
Do use only your assigned vehicle context. Do not expect tenant staff screens, inventory, billing administration, or broad fleet account access.
Example
Open your assigned vehicle, find the active service state, identify whether an approval is needed, and decide whether to contact Fleet Admin or the Service Advisor.
